Happy Mother's Day と Canada Gooseの親子

今日は母の日です。子供たちがサプライズにしようとカーネーションとイチゴのケーキを買ってきたのですが、長女がカーネーションを準備している間に息子がつい口を滑らせてしまい、みえみえのサプライズになってしまいました。　隠し事の出来ない性格が災い（？）しちゃいましたね。

母の日（ははのひ）は、日頃の母の苦労を労り、母への感謝を表す日。日本やアメリカでは5月の第2日曜日に祝うが、その起源は世界中で様々であり日付も異なる。例えばスペインでは5月第1日曜日、北欧スウェーデンでは5月の最後の日曜日に当たる。

今日はのんびり、家族で映画を見たり、長男がステーキを焼いてくれたり、楽しい一日でした（と妻は思っているに違いない）。

 

今朝散歩しているとカナダカモの親子に遭遇。  かわいらしい雛が5羽、両親（でしょう）をまねて泳いだり、えさを探したり、みているだけで癒されます。
楽しい母の日を過ごしているのでしょう。　この時期は道路を歩いて渡るシーンも見かけます。かわいらしい、ほんわかした風景です。

カナダガン （加奈陀雁、学名:Branta canadensis）は、北アメリカのカナダとアメリカ合衆国北部に生息する黒や茶色の頭と茶色の羽を持つガン。まれに日本に渡来する。
